To The Sky is the song that started it all, and most of it was written before this band was even a thing. Now, it is the first song off of our debut 3 song EP titled The New Years Tapes.

Julian Worden (vocals) wrote about 90% of it, and was unsatisfied with some of the guitar parts once the song was completed. He was already friends with Louis Sabba (guitars), and decided to share the song with him in the beginning of the summer of 2017. Julian loved what Lou brought to the table, and then got Tasman Cioppa (drums) to tweak some of the drums that were already programmed.

The song's lyrics revolve around a girl from Julian's past that was always lingering around in his life. Sometimes she would be absent, sometimes she would be there, and it become so exhausting that eventually he wanted he realized he just wanted her out of his life.

Lyrics

I need something real
Something to make me feel what it's like to have a friend
I'm running in circles again
We're right back at square one, and oh my god, isn't this fun?
Being the only one who's sane
Someday you'll know my name

Slow it down
(I need to gather my thoughts)
Help me out
('Cause you're all that I got)
I don't know how
(To help myself)
Ahhhh fuck it

I've been feeling a little bit down
Just a little bit down
But I don't think that you know how
Know how to help me out
Please before I hit the ground

Stop and start like we always do
Sorta like a groove
I've screamed your name so many times I bet it all just sounds the same to you
Without you I'm better off

I've been feeling a little bit down
Just a little bit down
But I don't think that you know how
Know how to help me out
Please before I hit the ground

(Why do I miss you?
And where do we go from here?)
Reality escapes me like a psychopathic killer
It's sorta like a thriller but there's nothing entertaining about this
Twist after twist after twist
Miss after miss after miss after miss
Line after line after line after line
You need to be gone and I mean it this time
I want you gone

I want you gone
(I want you gone)
You better never come back
(Never come back)
Please
